Hi there, I’m Billie!
I created the God Shaped blog because I believe our lives have a God story to tell. My passion is in proclaiming the extraordinary love, healing, and power that is in Christ, which I personally found many years ago. We are not alone doing life, for Christ built a lasting foundation that His believers can stand on. I love spending time reading my Bible, and it has helped me to learn to trust in God alone, becoming refined and reshaped by His presence. I found that when we esteem God the highest, we put Him first. Then everything we are comes from that beautiful place, set on His solid foundation. It is in Christ that true confidence, hope, and purpose come from. Throughout the Bible, the scriptures give eternal perspective and guidance. I admit at times I can lose my footing, but when I go back to God’s word, I can refocus and live with the joy of Christ again.
If we look closely, we will see God’s love and fingerprints threaded throughout the stories of our lives. I am confident that when we search the scriptures, God’s truth will strengthen marriages, inspire parents in the joys and struggles of child rearing, and bring new hope to a tired and worn-out soul. God Shaped blog is where you find real and raw life experiences that will encourage and strengthen your faith. A little bit about me… I have been married to my best friend, Wes for 22 years, and I’m continually thankful that I get to do life with him. Wes and I are grateful to have three busy, creative, beautiful kiddos. Our children encourage me to embrace life and seek out God with more diligence every day!
In my free time, my favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends. I love being outdoors! It doesn’t matter if I am on a walk, biking, or sipping on some good coffee with the sun shining on my face. I just feel refreshed when I am outside!
